Rich Banner is a partner within the Firm’s Audit and Assurance Services practice and serves as head of the Firm’s Quality Control Committee. With more than 23 years of experience providing audit, accounting, and consulting services to nonprofit organizations, he joined our team in 2007 as a senior auditor after previously working as an accountant and internal auditor for a national labor organization for 14 years.

Mr. Banner’s experience includes managing and performing audits for a wide range of nonprofit organizations including trade and membership associations, related for-profit subsidiaries, charitable organizations, and Section 527(f) political action committees. Mr. Banner has significant experience with auditing procedures related to restricted contributions, trade shows, exhibits, and sponsorship arrangements. In addition, he has extensive experience with complex auditing issues surrounding alternative investments, fair value accounting, and compliance requirements governing Federal award programs. He also conducts internal staff trainings, and is a regular presenter at the firm’s annual Nonprofit Accounting & Auditing Update seminar.
