We are currently seeking to hire a Supervisor in our nonprofit tax department. The position will principally involve nonprofit tax compliance, consulting, research, and working with our tax management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with both clients and Tate & Tryon staff to identify, analyze and resolve tax issues
Provide timely preparation, review, and delivery of tax returns to the management team
Be proficient in the use of CCH Prosystems fx Tax and CCH Prosystems Engagement (E-Pace)
Be able to provide technical support to the audit staff on preparation questions
Serve as a key liaison between the Firm and clients
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Candidate must be a CPA. Candidate should have at least 5 years of public accounting experience in the area of taxation. Experience in preparing Forms 990 and 990-T is a plus, but is not required. Candidate must possess strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to exhibit sound judgment when dealing with client issues. Strong oral and written communication skills are also required.
An individual with strong tax preparation experience who is excited about learning the technical nuances of our portfolio of national nonprofit clients will be an excellent candidate for this position.
