Background As Director of Recruiting, Ms. Horst is responsible for the Firm’s recruitment and retention efforts including the hiring of professional staff, campus recruitment, management of the internship and summer learning programs; and implementation of retention and development programs. Ms. Horst plays an integral role in the strategic objectives and initiatives related to human resources, recruitment and retention, training, performance management, and employee relations. Ms. Horst joined Tate & Tryon in November 2011 after previously serving as a corporate recruiter for Metier, Ltd. In this role, she developed and administered full life cycle recruiting and training for her organization’s East and West Coast offices. Ms. Horst holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Professional and Industry Experience Ms. Horst has experience in the following areas: - Developing strategic staffing plans driven by present and future business needs.
- Full-cycle recruiting for entry-level to senior-level professionals, particularly within the services industry.
- Creating and managing training and professional development programs.
- Designing and implementing employee recognition awards, performance management program, and mentor program.
- Coordination and documentation of internal programs to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
Outside Activities Outside of Ms. Horst’s professional responsibilities, she enjoys traveling, exploring DC, watching sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends. |
